In Community and Commercial Policy (CCP), our mission is to create and evolve principled policies that define the rules of the road for Guests and Hosts across Airbnb. This involves solving some of the most complex challenges of our time. Our work is informed by rigorous research and stakeholder collaboration, and we design policies that can support our community at scale. We team with our cross-functional partners to create accessible policy enforcement guides and to continuously maintain and improve our policies.

The Difference You Will Make:
As a Senior Manager for Policy Operations and Programs within the Community and Commercial Policy team, you will work across Policy and with Ops stakeholders to continuously improve and refine our policy implementation program and drive Community and Commercial Policy initiatives across the company. This work will drive the enforcement of the policies accurately and efficiently. This role will serve as a critical player in developing our global policy solutions and enforcement system and will have a direct impact on the peace of mind of millions of Airbnb community members around the world.
About You
- You are a highly motivated senior leader with policy implementation experience to enable accurate operationalization of our Community and Commercial Policies.
- You have experience handling operations and implementation issues at scale.
- You enjoy developing scaled systems and processes to drive operational efficiencies and support the business as it grows in size and maturity.
- You are an excellent communicator with exceptional writing skills.
- You are experienced working with business, product, and operations teams to understand their strategic objectives and to deliver policy solutions that enable business goals.
- You are an adept presenter, with experience engaging with all levels of leadership, including senior executive audiences and C-Suite.
- You are principled and rigorous, and incorporate diverse perspectives in pursuit of the best decisions and outcomes possible.
- You are experienced at developing and implementing policies and measuring their effectiveness.
- You are a team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment and brings a strategic mindset to your work.
A Typical Day:
- Lead development and execution of policy implementation initiatives that address issues at scale.
- Utilize operational expertise to deliver solutions that enhance community trust and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the business including Product, Operations, Trust, Legal, and Communications.
- Foster, build, and maintain relationships with leadership of internal business verticals.
- Optimize workflows and macros for efficiency and accuracy, proactively addressing gaps to guide strategic policy direction.
- Possess the capability to delve deeply into complex issues, and craft informed decisions to advance strategic goals.
- Excel in communicating these decisions and their underlying rationale to stakeholders clearly and effectively, ensuring alignment and understanding across all levels.
Your Expertise:
- 10+ years experience in operations, implementation, product management or other relevant role with exposure to policy issues and working closely with global operations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated capacity for strategic, critical thinking, research, and analysis. Strong attention to detail and operational execution.
- Ability to explain and simplify complex information to others
- Prior experience implementing policies across operations and customer facing teams.
- A track record of strong leadership and an ability to independently manage a portfolio of challenging issues
- Thoughtful business judgment, strategic thinking, and ability to work well under pressure
- Strong cross-functional problem solving capabilities.
- Fluency in data analysis and leading data-driven decision-making

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
