Primary Purpose
This role will focus on improving the understanding of Guiding Stars foundations among our business partners at ADUSA and for other clients. As colleagues on the private brand team and merchandising/category associates aim to increase sales of products earning stars, this manager will help them understand why the products in their category score the way they do and what they might do to improve their ratings. To provide these insights, this role will collaborate with analysts on the ADUSA ESG Reporting team.

As a member of the broader ADUSA Health & Sustainability Team, this manager will collaborate with other H&S colleagues who are focusing on sustainability aspects of products (plastics, animal welfare, etc.) and bring a health & nutrition perspective to the conversation during meetings with suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Scarborough, ME.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage ADUSA business partners (private brands team, merchandising, category), other client contacts and representatives from CPGs to help them understand Guiding Stars and product scores and ratings as well as impacts of algorithm evolution on products they manage.
- Partner with ADUSA Health & Sustainability brand leads and healthy living merchandising associates (and other client representatives) to support their health-focused merchandising programs with the goal of elevating better-for-you brands, increasing healthy food sales, & acquiring program revenue.
- Identify, pursue and partner to implement opportunities for increasing sales of star-earning products through client ecommerce platforms, including emerging retail media strategies.
- Collaborate with ADUSA ESG Reporting Team analysts to understand impact of product and evaluation programs, ensuring proper measurement and reporting.
- Respond to internal and CPGs requests for reports and a deeper dive into Guiding Stars.
- Work in collaboration with Brand & Nutrition Manager, Systems Manager, and Health & Sustainability ESG reporting analysts and Guiding Stars panel of advisors for improved understanding and continuous improvement of program product evaluation.
- Represent Guiding Stars at professional meetings, industry conferences, and related events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) in nutrition, public health, or related field
- Registered Dietitian preferred
- 5+ years of nutrition or public health related experience
- 3+ sales and/or business development experience
- Grocery retail experience strongly preferred
- Microsoft Office - strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint capabilities
- Experienced with virtual collaboration programs (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Strong communication & presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Comfortable, competent public speaker
- Program, Project and People Management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business areas without formal authority
