VP of Rewards

As a VP of Rewards, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning, development, and implementation of comprehensive global compensation and benefits programs for our organization. This role is key in setting, shaping and communicating  our rewards narrative, whilst continuing our approach to attract, motivate, and retain our employees in support of Adyen’s overall objectives. This role will collaborate with your team of compensation managers, the other HR Centers of Excellence and Adyen Leadership to drive one global, consistent people experience. As part of the people leadership team, you will also help drive growth and development of the greater HR team globally.

What you’ll do

  • Assess, evolve and execute a global rewards strategy, including base pay, variable pay, and incentive plans (including equity) aligned with Adyen’s objectives using data and benchmarking meeting industry and compliance standards.
  • Create and communicate a rewards philosophy and narrative that resonates to all levels of Adyen. Connect and integrate total rewards strategies with our employee value proposition, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and other people priorities.
  • Develop a smooth and comprehensive annual salary review process.
  • Engage with senior leadership and HR Centers of Excellence to identify key priorities and opportunities for enhancing rewards offerings. Consult with the HR Business Partner teams on compensation and benefits related topics and training to bring the rewards philosophy to life.
  • Manage executive compensation programs which includes Management Board and Remuneration Committee materials preparation, equity management, and reporting.
  • Oversee the design and administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellbeing initiatives, and other benefits.
  • Lead a team of skilled  rewards professionals, providing coaching and development opportunities for growth.
  • Own all compliance and regulatory updates, reporting and filings.

What We Look For:

  • 10 years of applicable experience, with demonstrable experience in rewards management, with a history of designing and implementing effective global compensation and benefits programs.
  • Executive compensation and equity administration experience.
  • Experience leading teams of compensation managers.
  • Experience with the Dutch regulations for banking. 
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with compliance and regulatory needs around compensation programs globally, such as EBA data, bonus and variable pay cap, identified staff, etc. 
  • Results oriented with excellent analytical and project management skills. Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to engage, interact and build credibility with a variety of different stakeholders.
  • Payments, Banking or Fintech experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
