We have an amazing opportunity to bring our Card Issuing product to the next phase of its exponential growth scaling our credit-based solutions like Charge Cards. For this role we are looking for a candidate who's passionate about financial technology, including innovation of new features and functionalities with a specific interest in credit-based solutions. You will be joining our Chicago-based Issuing team which is responsible for several domains within our global issuing product. You will collaborate closely with the different product  and finance teams globally as well as functional teams to ensure a best-in-class Issuing product used by the biggest brands in the world.

The role is based out of Chicago and sits within our Financial Services product team which is responsible for all financial products we offer to our customers. Whether we work with large partner platforms, medium sized local merchants, or major international enterprise businesses, our products need to meet our clients expectations and seamlessly fit into their systems.

What you’ll do

  • You will be scaling and further defining our Charge Card and other Card Credit products, working closely together with the different product teams and internal functions involved.
  • Actively engage with customers, commercial teams, compliance, risk and other stakeholders to understand their perspective and take their feedback into your vision and strategy.
  • You will be the main product representative for our Issuing product in North America, ensuring our products meet the requirements of our US based customers and internal teams.
  • You will multiply your impact by guiding and growing the teams that work directly or indirectly on our Issuing offering.
  • You will define the credit roadmap across underwriting, monitoring, and collections. This includes  account acquisition using different sources like bureau & portfolio data, setting up credit policies & underwriting proc, line management, reissuance and account closures.
  • Collaborate with finance to define requirements around capital markets

Who you are

  • Experience -  8+ years of working experience in product and adjacent functions within a fintech- or financial services environment with deep understanding of the card issuing market, competitors, and opportunities in verticals like corporate expense, benefits, travel, and platforms. 
  • Knowledge - you have a deep understanding of Charge Cards and Credit in general. You understand the mechanics behind managing a credit portfolio and the industry around it including the relevant regulations that apply. 
  • Product Management - you are a product manager by heart and possess all product management skills including  scoping technical features with your engineering team, creating tactical solutions together with customers, and setting the north star for our Card Issuing product.
  • Entrepreneurship - you are hands-on, have strong project management skills in which you take full ownership and control over your projects.
  • Customer centric: You are able to translate technical complexity back to customer impact and understand the needs of different customers.
  • Mindset - You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are able to form a vision and work with the engineering teams to implement that.
  • Proven record - you have experience in launching and scaling card issuing products and have in-depth experience in commercial card issuing.
  • Communication - You have solid communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders from varying disciplines and cultures
  • Leadership - You have a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation will add value to a fast-growing business.
