Product Manager, Internal Developer Platform

Within Platform Engineering, the Shared Application Capabilities (SAC) group works on the foundational building blocks that the Adyen platform is composed of. Product teams use our capabilities (like databases, queueing and streaming solutions, core frameworks and services) to build global financial products that solve our customer’s problems. By offering these capabilities as ready-to-use building blocks, we aim to give teams speed in building reliable and secure applications and operate them in our global platform.

As Product Manager, you are responsible for the strategy one or more solution areas and for tracking impact and execution on that strategy.

What you'll do

  • Focus primarily on defining and refining the product strategy, helping translate this to the team's roadmap(s), executing the strategy, and ensuring all teams and stakeholders are aligned.
  • Interact regularly with infrastructure engineers, software developers, product managers, and the leadership teams from other departments.
  • Guide a cross-functional team to establish a roadmap with feasible and measurable goals.
  • Serve as a leader across Adyen for supporting and driving innovative solutions and decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, infrastructure teams, internal stakeholders, and partners to identify opportunities, develop effective solutions, and deliver them across the finish line.
  • Prioritize among different problems, ensuring that imminent issues are resolved first and the long term is also taken care of.

Who you are

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager and delivered successful outcomes.
  • A solid understanding of how software products are built, the kind of products that make up a cloud platform and what kind of problems these products solve for engineers.
  • Able to make strategic choices, considering business and technical needs, as well as the needs of the team.
  • Someone with a growth mindset and the thirst to learn and build great products.
  • Fueled by curiosity, always on the lookout to learn how something works, whether it's our platform's performance, application architecture, or the scalability of our products.
  • Someone who promotes strong teamwork, healthy collaboration, and inclusivity.
