Merchant Fraud Data Analyst

We are looking for an ambitious data analyst to join our Merchant Fraud team. As a Merchant Fraud Fraud Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of our fraud detection framework that protects our business and customers. You will work closely with Compliance and Product to ensure our fraud detection methods are robust, effective, and aligned with the latest industry standards and threats.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct research to identify fraud risk scenarios that apply to Adyen’s product offering
  • Support in the creation and maintenance of the Risk & Fraud transaction monitoring framework. 
  • Deliver data insights in the form of dashboards and reports.
  • Perform test assessments on the effectiveness of our controls.
  • Work closely with the Data Scientists in the Data Solution to enhance fraud detection. 
  • Assist in the development of fraud detection methods by testing rule or model output.
  • This role is based out of our Amsterdam office.

Who you are

  • 2-5 years of experience working in data analytics. 
  • Proficient in Python and SQL. Strong with BI tools like Looker. 
  • Experience with machine learning models and fraud detection systems is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • You have full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English.
