Adyen’s Merchant Finance & Treasury team serves as the financial backbone of the company; optimizing and automating financial processes at scale, mitigating risks, and driving growth through customer-centricity, operational excellence, innovation, and integrity.
We are looking for two Banking Operations Analysts to join our team in Amsterdam, specializing in either Bank Reconciliation team or Payouts team:
- Bank Reconciliation: This team aims to support the smooth and stable functioning of Adyen’s core payment and embedded financial product offering by optimising reconciliation and operational processes within the core banking infrastructure.
- Payouts: Ensures smooth processing of outbound money flows by monitoring, optimizing operational processes and enhancing transaction efficiency.
As part of a collaborative and cross-functional team, you will work closely with stakeholders across Merchant Finance & Treasury, Product, and Engineering, tackling both day-to-day operational challenges and strategic projects.
What you’ll do
- Improve internal banking operations, focused on managing our core banking system, to help scale our banking business;
- Improve our payment operations such as monitoring bank transfers, integrations with payment market infrastructures, real time payments, swift connection and others;
- Monitor inbound, outbound and internal flows to ensure proper recording, reconciliation and allocation in the core banking system;
- Communicate with banks and financial institutions to resolve ad-hoc issues;
- Provide internal stakeholders with insights into our key financial and operational processes to influence key decision making and help Adyen scale further;
- Use Data analysis to solve business problems; draw conclusions and recommendations for optimization and automation;
- Manage project lifecycle from start to finish, ensuring that our operations teams and banking infrastructure are fully prepared to support Adyen’s growth and new financial services in a scalable and controlled way;
- Partner with our technical teams to design and automate our processes as well as having controls and monitoring in place;
- Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management and communication of progress to all parties.
Who you are
- 2-5 years work experience in the banking sector, specifically transaction banking/payment operations or in mid-office, back-office operational teams;
- Proficiency in using and optimising core banking platforms and/or treasury management systems;
- Sound knowledge of the European, UK and/or US banking and payment market infrastructures (e.g. EBA clearing, CHAPS, FedACH, correspondent banking via SWIFT);
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate detailed requirements into business solutions;
- Experience with process improvement, optimisation and/or automation;
- Ability to interface and cooperate seamlessly with a global team;
- Ability to lead and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment;
