Adyen’s Merchant Finance & Treasury team is on a mission to optimize and automate core money flows for scale while mitigating risks on Adyen’s Balance Sheet. Our team supports Adyen’s growth ambitions through customer-centricity, operational excellence, innovation, and integrity.

The Treasury Partnerships team within Merchant Finance & Treasury strengthens relationships with our global network of key financial institutions, schemes and central banks. As embedded payments become increasingly strategic, these financial partnerships help us deliver best-in-class payments experience for our merchants. Globally, we manage 30+ banking partnerships and 3 central bank partnerships., while our entire team remains 100% Amsterdam-based to support Adyen’s collaborative work culture. 

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Financial Partnerships, the Associate Project Manager, Banking Implementations will support strategic banking integrations & migrations while transforming chaos in a fast-paced environment into a well-aligned choreography.

What you’ll do

  • Lead End-to-End Implementations: Drive high-stakes implementation projects with commercial banks, central banks, and schemes from initiation to launch, ensuring smooth progress across all phases.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Build and maintain trust with a diverse range of stakeholders across product, treasury, compliance, and external banking teams to align goals, manage priorities, and maintain project momentum.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Identify, track, and mitigate risks related to regulatory standards and financial controls, ensuring compliance at every project stage.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present project progress and milestones to senior management, providing visibility into key project metrics, risks, and opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion best practices in project management, refining processes to drive efficiency and scalability.

Who you are


  • Experience: 3+ years in project management, preferably in the banking, payments, or fintech sectors, with hands-on experience in bank or financial services integration.

  • Project Management Skills: Proven track record in managing end-to-end projects, with expertise in coordinating between technical and business teams, managing timelines, and ensuring stakeholder alignment.

  • Problem-solving Abilities: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
