What you should know about the role
This position will be accountable for leading and supporting Operations Support and Operations Systems projects. Projects include but are not limited to Operations core deposit processes and Operations Systems such as the phone system, statement and notices, and artificial intelligence. This position will also represent Operations Support and Operations Systems for organizational projects. Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading department projects and project coordination duties including deadline adherence by maintaining and monitoring project plans and project schedules. Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear understanding and alignment. Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder/project meetings. Creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation. Execute tasks associated with the project. Manage project pipeline to assign/reassign project resources to meet demand.
- Collaborate with Operations Support and Operations Systems and other business units in testing and rollout of product enhancements and system changes. Partner with the Training team to ensure training materials are current and relevant to the products and services offered. Partner with Marketing to ensure member educational materials are available and current.
- Drive adoption and evolution of projects related to Operations Support and Operations Systems. Responsible for collaborating with Operations Specialists to troubleshoot and resolve issues with new releases, functionality, and products.
- Partner with Operations Systems Administrators and Operations Support Specialists implementation teams , and other Department Units to recommend, test and deploy system enhancements/changes and new products/services.
- Assist with mergers/acquisitions by coordinating and reviewing data for database verification (DBV).
- Responsible for identifying, organizing, and completing efficiency projects as they relate to the Credit Union's strategic plan initiatives.
- Vendor management which includes and is not limited to contract review, negotiations, renewals, and invoice assignment. Develop and maintain relationships with existing vendors to build partnerships. This includes participating and leading the vendor selection process, participating in vendor management calls, working on system changes, system configuration changes, enhancements, and escalating/opening tickets when applicable.
- Analyze existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement.
- Strictly adheres to and enforces system security policies and follows all company standards. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Additionally, all employees must follow policies and procedures to minimize risk by exercising judgment, raising questions to management, and adhering to policy guidelines.
Requirements
Experience
A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A high school degree or equivalent.
Interpersonal Skills
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
Other Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of industry rules and regulations related to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, Customer Identification Policy, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending, Regulation CC, Plastic Cards, and Funds Availability, etc. General capabilities in the use of personal computer based business application software.
Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely
attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
