In this role you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of our warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing inventory, as well as maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the physical stamina to perform various tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
  • Checks goods received, and for distribution, against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
  • Package and prepare products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, safely and proficiently.
  • Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently based on provided packing lists or shipping instruction.
  • Prepare orders for shipment by securely packaging items and affixing proper labels or shipping documentation.
  • Collaborate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts or annual physical inventories as needed.

The role of an Associate Warehouse Specialist requires physical stamina and the ability to perform various physical tasks. It is essential that candidates are capable of meeting the following physical requirements:

  • Lifting and carrying: The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 50 pounds is necessary for this position. Warehouse Associates may be required to move heavy boxes, equipment, or inventory throughout the warehouse.
  • Standing and walking: Candidates must have the physical endurance to remain on their feet for periods of time while performing their duties.
  • Manual dexterity: Warehouse Associates must have good manual dexterity to handle and manipulate small items, operate warehouse equipment, and perform tasks that require precise movements.
  • Bending, stooping, and reaching: The ability to bend, stoop, and reach for items on lower and higher shelves is crucial. Warehouse Associates may need to access inventory stored at different heights within the warehouse.
  • Physical agility: This role may involve navigating narrow aisles, climbing ladders, and maneuvering in confined spaces. Physical agility and coordination are necessary to perform these tasks safely and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma/GED

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Warehouse Experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
