Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Technical Product Owner to join our Marketplace team. This role involves maintaining a local backlog, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring seamless interactions with our US-based team. The candidate will be responsible for writing user stories, based on input from the Product Manager, Dev Manager & Architects, and ensuring that all project tasks are aligned with business objectives and technical feasibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a bridge between local and U.S. teams, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and alignment on project objectives.
  • Maintains and prioritizes the product backlog, ensuring team objectives are met with high-quality standards and business value is delivered continuously.
  • Writes and refines user stories, transforming requirements into actionable tasks for the development team.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy.
  • Leads sprint planning, backlog refinement sessions, and sprint reviews, ensuring clear prioritization and efficient workflow.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to gather feedback, provide regular updates on progress, and adjust plans as needed to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Uses JIRA software for tracking tasks, managing sprints, and reporting on project progress and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
  • Strong experience in writing user stories, managing product backlogs, and facilitating Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Proficient in JIRA software for task management, sprint tracking, and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed team environment, working across multiple time zones.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with strong decision-making capabilities and a focus on driving business value.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation. Experience in system within a marketplace environment is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Postman for API testing.
