Job Title: Senior Functional Consultant

Location: Various UK / ADP Flexible 3-2 Model

Reports To: Implementation Team Manager

ADP is hiring a Functional Consultant to Implement and familiarize new and existing clients with the functionality of ADPs combined payroll and HR systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a resource to support team members, based on a strong working knowledge of team's responsibilities and goals.
  • Oversee and monitor the use of standard processes by the team
  • Help train and mentor new team members and identify development needs, work with Leadership and Implementation coaches to coordinate additional training as needed.
  • Participate in task forces, strategic initiatives, stretch assignments and collaboration opportunities with other business units as needed.
  • Will serve as an acting backup to the Team Manager, providing leadership, guidance and direction to team members in the absence of the manager
  • May be required attend and contribute to Management Meetings.
  • Responsible for Implementing new clients and understanding their internal business needs, the Consultant then makes recommendations and provides solutions to meet these needs.
  • Develops and maintains effective, proactive relationships and communications with clients and ADP departments/associates to contribute to a successful overall client experience.
  • Establishes and manages activities towards project milestones independently or in conjunction with Project Manager.
  • Communicates continuously with clients and ADP Project Managers regarding project status as necessary to ensure all assigned tasks are completed according to schedule.
  • Interpret issues and find creative solutions to help the business with their long-term needs.
  • Performs adequate system testing and presents findings to the wider project team
  • Managing meetings, facilitating workshops and delivering presentations.
  • Ensuring that the project is running to established time scales and attending project meetings with the client to discuss progress and critical issues.
  • Commercial awareness, able to understand financial objectives and how the role can impact on this.
  • Creates bespoke reports and Interfaces.
  • Exchange routine information with members of client project team, including priorities, timelines, issues as they arise.
  • Analyze existing systems, interface requirements, business processes.
  • Ability to work independently and provide solutions to the client.
  • Ability to influence client and guide the client to best solution to help resolve their client needs.
  • Accurately documents the proposed payroll functionality and procedures.
  • Build long term relationship and trust.
  • Maintains and expands knowledge / proficiency on function, products, services, and best implementation practices

Skills Required:

  • In depth UK Payroll knowledge
  • End to end implementation experience within the HCM space (Preferred)
  • Ability to maintain focus and work effectively with multiple demands
  • Experience in a client facing role
  • The ability to communicate well at all levels and build solid business relationships
  • Proven ability to lead client meetings, (face to face or over the phone)
  • Understanding of the effective use of technology / systems in HR or payroll
  • HR and Self-Service application knowledge (preferred)
  • Experience in being responsible and taking ownership for multiple clients at any one time
  • The passion to learn and build a career in Implementation
  • Computer literate, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Full valid driving licence
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent in education and experience
