RESPONSIBILITIES:

OVERVIEW

Provide an outside-in view of the Human Capital Management (HCM) world to ADP. Drive competitive awareness/differentiation, size opportunities for growth and drive go to market strategies. Focusing on ADP's global product portfolio, create and implement product marketing strategies which elevate ADP's position for HCM. Identify customer needs and market trends. Clearly articulate our value proposition and drive market research initiatives with Product Management that supports portfolio development (sensing) but also provides the opportunity for thought-leadership opportunities.

STRATEGY AND APPROACH

  • Lead a team of product marketers focused on ADP's international product portfolio serving EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. Lead new product and feature launches, acting as the link between Product, Marketing and Sales teams to create an impactful approach around marketing, communications, and plan implementation.
  • Know our users and customers inside and out - who they are, what their challenges entail, the nuances associated with doing business across varying geographies, and why they are looking for a solution. Drive an audience-centric marketing approach within the organization, ensuring that messaging, content, and campaign strategies are centered around buyer and customer needs.
  • Ownership of all product marketing activities in support of the global product strategy. Work with the marketing team and agencies to create collateral, including email campaigns, fact sheets, brochures, landing pages, and more. Align and drive market execution team.
  • Drive and own product demo requirements in conjunction with product development and business unit sales operations.
  • Partner with product and sales leaders to plan routes to market and ensure that product marketing managers collaborate with enablement and/or operations to produce revenue enablement plans for the product portfolio.

INDUSTRY TRENDS AND ANALYSIS

  • Serve as market-facing subject matter expert (SME) for the product portfolio and interface with stakeholders and industry analysts as the company representative.
  • Identify key industry trends. Keep up to date on all regulatory issues and other industry initiatives that impact ADP's business. Create content and messaging for executive positioning, 'selling ideas up' and content for tradeshows, promotions, etc. to all execution teams. Work closely with Field Marketing on all execution plans.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of the competitive landscape to build sustainable, differentiated competitive positioning that clearly highlights why ADP wins in the marketplace. Competitive analysis within standard CI frameworks is a critical skill.

METRICS AND DOCUMENTATION

  • Implement and maintain solid measurements and metrics. Track and analyze metrics demonstrating effectiveness of product launch, capabilities, and related areas e.g., sales performance, attach rates, retention, and units. Align to targets for market penetration with sales (units, segments, etc.) and sales growth.
  • Manage complex documentation projects; gather information for documentation and training materials; conduct audience analysis; and ensure documentation deliverables meet each audience's needs.
  • Collaborate across functional teams to ensure the consistency and quality of documentation and training materials; collaborate with other content-producing teams to share knowledge and keep efforts consistent.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to understand complex technical concepts and direct the translation of them into easy-to-understand documentation.
  • Developing training materials and sessions for employees as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years in a marketing or product marketing role and knowledge and experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) is a must.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of marketing leadership experience, preferably managing international teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • MBA degree highly preferred.
  • Prior product development or product management experience is preferred to understand and speak to the technical aspects of this position.
  • Extensive experience managing a product marketing function with a global presence, currently providing solutions for employers in more than 140 countries.
  • Experience in SaaS or cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills to influence across organizational lines and executive presence as well as outstanding interpersonal, verbal, written communication, presentation, and process facilitation skills with the ability to present his/her views in a compelling manner.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills and the ability to create compelling graphics and other visuals to help tell a story.
  • A highly collaborative team builder who can lead with the knowledge, intellect, and temperament to work effectively in a fast-paced, energetic, and complex environment.
  • A high degree of personal initiative, results orientation, accountability, and integrity are essential.
  • Highly evolved analytical skills to ensure clear analysis and sound data-based decision-making.
  • Exceptional business acumen with a deep understanding of client and prospects most critical business issues and the ability to translate ADP's product and service capabilities into real business value.
  • Thrives in an environment of creativity, idea generation and excels in driving new efforts from ideation to flawless execution and meaningful measurements.
  • Experience in understanding complex technical/functional information and translating it into documentation.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated experience in building breakthrough product positioning and go to market strategies which drive marketing execution plans.
