ADP is hiring a Proposal Consultant within its Commercial Operations Center of Excellence.

This is a hybrid role based in either our Maitland, FL or Tempe, AZ office. Qualified candidates must live within commutable distance to one of these locations.

This is a highly engaged, fast-moving, and instrumental role in driving success within the Sales organization. We are seeking an individual who is comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously, has high energy, thrives when things start to move faster, and ensures that deadlines are hit without exception. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working both as an individual and as part of a team, leveraging our database to provide concise and accurate answers to projects that span multiple solutions. You will serve as a trusted partner to our Sales teams, supporting multiple business units while working directly on responses for high profile and high visibility buyers as a key part of our sales process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide initial drafts of RFx (RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc.) responses using the designated software (RFPIO). This may include, but is not limited to: issue resolution, customizing responses, creating & customizing modern content.
  • Take project management approach to each unique response, to track changes and delays, and ensure all stakeholders are involved throughout the process.
  • Manage version control, generating additional or revised drafts of RFx responses by merging information delivered by Product, Operations and Sales.
  • Develop customized executive summaries and cover letters to align with sales messaging.
  • Provide final edit by reviewing completed document to ensure consistency and accuracy in tone/voice of response.
  • Develop/Identify new/enhanced responses for the database.
  • Develop/maintain good working knowledge of current service capabilities and future direction.
  • Form effective business relationships with a variety of internal clients.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Business, Marketing or related field.
  • 2+ years' experience in technical or business writing preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in sales operations or marketing operations preferred.
  • Experience with RFx response software such as RFPIO, RFP360, etc., preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Can manage multiple projects and delivery mediums.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Learn to use tools for project work.
  • Understand and document moderately complex technical material.
  • Demonstrate strong writing skills (clean, concise, accurate text).
  • Balance two critical aspects of developing user information: thorough product understanding and technical expertise versus audience information needs.
  • Able to focus content to the appropriate audience.
  • Estimate time/impacts of project tasks or changes.
  • Flexible and creative.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to obtain information to meet project deliverables.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
