JOB TITLE: Project Manager

LOCATION: Staines or Cheadle

JOB PURPOSE:
This is a key role, responsible for planning, leading and delivering strategic projects for ADP UK and Ireland. It will collaborate with teams across the UKI business and within ADP globally to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required level of quality. The ability to communicate with and manage senior stakeholders will be key to success. This role will drive transformational changes with significant business impact including the delivery of new products, services and processes. Working as part of the ADP UKI Business Excellence PMO, this role reports to the Director of Business Excellence UKI.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan projects in detail including clear definition of scope and deliverables.
• Manage changes to project scope and avoid scope creep.
• Ensure that project roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and documented.
• Communicate with and manage key stakeholders at all levels including ExCom and ESI.
• Set and manage stakeholder expectations accurately, negotiating as required to address any conflicting objectives.
• Manage projects in alignment with PMO methodology and governance.
• Ensure that benefits are clearly defined, measurable and are supported by data. Manage and monitor to ensure that benefits are delivered.
• Estimate, negotiate and manage resources / costs required for successful delivery.
• Lead the project and project team.
• Identify and manage potential risks and put mitigation plans in place.
• Ensure that issues are addressed effectively and in a timely manner
• Hold project team and stakeholders accountable for actions
• Escalate issues to senior stakeholders appropriately and as required, providing potential resolution options and recommendations.
• Lead and drive project decisions with sponsors and stakeholders
• Ensure that change is landed effectively
• Ensure that projects are closed out in a controlled manner with effective handovers to BAU.
• Develop, review and maintain PMO project & governance documents
• Report on project progress to sponsors, stakeholders & through PMO reporting
• Create and coordinate regular and ad hoc Business Excellence reporting, presentations and project/portfolio updates to UKI ExCom and ESI.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Preferably graduate level
• 5 years' operational experience, preferably in payroll / Human Capital Management
• Experience of managing complex projects
• Project Management qualifications an advantage

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
• Highly organised, proactive, able to work on own initiative and to effectively prioritise workload.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and diplomacy skills, able to interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels and tailor communications appropriately for the audience.
• Strong collaboration and relationship management skills and ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Change management.
• Presentation and PowerPoint.
• Adaptability and hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Strong leadership and people management.
• Strong analytical skills, able to analyse and understand complex data.
• Solutions orientated approach.
• Operational process knowledge.
• BPI experience desirable.

This role will require travel between ADP sites
