At ADP, we use data and AI to help stich together the end-to-end customer journey, help uncover buying patterns and identify the next best actions for our sales teams. We are looking for a Data Scientist Leader, who builds advanced analytics and AI models to evaluate these next best actions and correlate AI performance and utilization to improvements in seller effectiveness / productivity. This role requires Sales and Sales Performance Measurement experience with Sales Analytics strongly desired.

You will work closely with the Data Science team and our Sales Performance partners, you will play a pivotal role in driving performance measurement and strategy. You'll collaborate directly with senior executives, ensuring alignment between AI insights and business objectives to enhance sales effectiveness and overall organizational impact. You'll code with machine learning languages like Python (on a platform like Databricks) to synthesize millions of data sets into patterns. You will use SQL, Py-Spark and Pandas to analyze these large datasets and answer specific sales performance questions and how AI recommendations help drive seller productivity. You will also use Tableau and PowerBI for data visualization.

To thrive in this career, you should be well versed in Sales and Sales Performance measurement. You will be responsible to work with Sales Operations to translate core seller performance metrics to AI measurement KPIs, work with the team to put measurement mechanisms in place, present to senior leadership on AI performance and improvement suggestions and work with other data scientists to build recommendation models that incorporate improvement suggestions and positively influence seller performance. A formal education in quantitative analytics and know design patterns and data structures is a big plus. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Model KPI Definition. You will work with operations and business stakeholders to understand sales performance metrics and how seller productivity is measured. You will then translate those into specific measures / goals for each AI recommendation model (Predictive Analytics, Generative AI etc.), so that we can measure AI model recommendation performance and how to positively influences sales results.
  • Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling. You bring prior experience to the role of formulating problems, extracting & analyzing data from multiple systems, summarizing critical findings/insights, and developing a compelling visual representation of analysis with actionable insights-this will set you up for success on Day 1. You will use these skills, working with other data engineers and data scientists to build measurement mechanisms including analytic reports, ML models and Tableau/PowerBI Dashboards.
  • AI Model Performance Measurement. You will use data and objectively interpret AI model performance and how it correlates to Seller performance. You will present this analysis to senior leadership and work with other data scientist to implement suggested changes that drive positive correlation between model recommendation and sales.
  • Own and Manage Projects. You will identify, design, develop, and implement advanced analytical projects. You will implement process to continuously detect model and data drift and remedy to ensure high quality.
  • Limitless Possibilities. You will continue learning and discovering new ways to leverage ADP data to create new products and services and find more insights. You are passionate about learning and applying new techniques within data science that leads to innovations.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Sales and Sales Performance Measurement; Sales analytics strongly desired
  • Leadership experience, with an understanding of Data Science
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to understand sales process, sales performance measurements and sales outcomes and then translate into data science measurement requirements and techniques
  • Advanced knowledge and prior experience in Python, SQL, distributed computing tools such as Databricks, AWS or other Cloud platforms
  • Hands on experience using python machine learning libraries like Sklearn, Matplotlib, Seaborn to build machine learning models such as XGBoost, Random Forest, Logistic Regression etc.
  • Prior experience with model explainability techniques like shapley, lime etc.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity Deep Learning, Neural Network or LLM models
  • Experience with Tableau or other visualization
  • Experience with ETL tools like Snaplogic, Mulesoft, Informatica and/or Stitch.
  • Experience of using NoSQL databases to create and query data
  • Experience working with GenAI
