Leading areas on designing cloud solutions with developments and other architects across the company.

No two days are the same. As part of a systems reliability team, you're the first one they call from an operations standpoint to understand why an app is down. In this hands-on role, you'll work side-by-side with the architecture and product development to design and implement CI/CD pipelines and Cloud initiatives. Every day will require you to be agile, adaptable, and fluid.

To thrive in this role, you'll need experience creating, executing, or troubleshooting end-to-end automation scripts for the Cloud. You should feel confident migrating data and managing change within an organization. You have come up through the ranks as a full-stack engineer and are passionate about automation. You have experience writing the code and building fully automated, highly elastic, cloud-orchestrated platforms over various IaaS providers like AWS, GCE, and/or Azure, or using on-premise solutions like ICP (IBM Cloud Private). Expert-level skills in Python and Groovy are necessary, and some experience with Java/JVM, the Spring Ecosystem, Service Mesh/Istio, Hashicorp Vault, etc. You should also possess significant Cloud experience (AWS, ECS, EKS, RDS), Containerization (K8S), Orchestration (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Helm Charts), Clustering, CICD tools, etc. Our best engineers excel at collaborating with Application Architects, Developers, Data Scientists, and System Engineers. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Blueprints and Strategy. You will influence and govern current and future architectural blueprints and promote architectural initiatives that generate revenue, improve efficiency, and support our business strategy. You will ensure that what we do solves both enterprise and local needs.
  • Scrum. You'll start each day with a scrum, working in a team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities while choosing user stories to complete. You will also participate in other agile ceremonies, including scheduled sprint demos, where you will present your work to up to 90 stakeholders.
  • Build teams that thrive. As an experienced leader, you want everyone to shine. You'll start each day by checking in with your engineering team to identify priorities and challenges. You'll find a way to make the team's day go smoother. You are constantly looking for ways to share your knowledge, motivate others and keep everyone engaged and productive.
  • Build Products. You will use your technical expertise to review your team's work and help your people excel in an Agile environment. You're proactive and hands-on. When you see a potential issue, you never leave things hanging and unfinished. When you and your team deliver a finished product, it's as polished as you could make it.
  • Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be checking in with a team in India one minute, meeting with leadership to review initiatives for the coming quarter later and tomorrow handling a few ad hoc requests from your peers in other departments.
  • Influence and inspire confidence. You are comfortable presenting to senior leaders, product owners, and peers with a compelling voice that you demonstrate through executive presence, leading change, and creating clear executive-level communications on milestone achievements.
  • Experience. You have 15+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

Requirements:

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
  • 10+ years hands on experience developing and architecting high volume systems
  • Drive and own software methodologies and practices within the team
  • Drive architecture, design, and development deliverables within the team
  • Champion and deliver great user experience Work with close cross-functional alignment with designers, fellow engineers, and the product and business stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on software technologies to influence decision making on the right technology choices
  • Expert knowledge of:
    • Hands on experience developing server side applications using Java programming and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Integration, etc.)
    • Deep experience
    • Windows and Linux server administration
    • Java, python and object-oriented development skills
    • Strong Ansible, bash scripting, Cloud Formation and Terraform Skills
  • CI/CD/Automation
    • Fluent in CI/CD technologies and test automation
    • Build tools and dependency management (Gradle, Maven)
    • Experience with build processes, repository managers and branching concepts.
    • Understanding of the testing pyramid (unit, functional, integration, system, API testing) and testing approaches TDD, BDD
    • Conduct rigorous system testing and troubleshooting to optimize the performance of digital solutions.
  • Strong Design & Coding experience OOPS Concepts, Principles and Design Patterns.
    • Deep experience with Database technologies mainly RDBS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
    • Preferred knowledge and experience on one or more of these Database technologies - NoSQL Document DB, DynamoDB
    • Experience working with AWS cloud technologies and services
    • Parallel and Distributed Systems
    • Event Driven Systems
  • Observability
    • Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana
    • Ops Genie Integrations
  • Public Cloud (AWS preferred)
    • AWS Services (ECS(Fargate),EKS, EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, App Sync, Lambda, Cloudfront, ALB, NLBs)
    • Experience with Agile / SCRUM methodology for product development
  • Comfortable to operate in an agile, dynamic environment
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
