What you'll do: Responsibilities

  • Supports and coordinates with the Payroll Specialist Teams with payroll input and processing for WFN Autopay & Paytech
  • Preview payroll audits, client 3rd party remittances and reports, net pay calcs, ROEs and various post-payroll tasks and reports including Union and Vacation.
  • Review input to ensure legislative compliance and system requirements are met prior to input and final audit.
  • Input data that includes demographic/HR information like new hires, status changes, transfers, employee information changes and pay data adjustments like current pay hours/adjustments, special payments, CPP & EI calculations, manual payments and YTD adjustments, etc for WFN Autopay & Paytech
  • Balancing the payroll via preview reports such as Payroll Register, Transaction Proof, Totals Recap report and ensuring input is accurate and balanced.
  • Partners with Payroll Specialist Team to evaluate and execute special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, process payrolls, etc.
  • Maintains updated internal process documentation, client payroll input and processing instructions.
  • Coordinate real-time payroll input task completion with peers in person and a virtual environment, using internal communication tools and team trackers (EMT)
  • Supports Year End Tax Adjustments in preparation for Year End Tax Reconciliations
  • Supports Year End Balancing and Yearly Schedule Campaigns

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience - Client Service, Canadian Payroll and Data Management
  • Strong MS Office skills - (Word/Excel) Required
  • Proficient business communication and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and work accuracy
  • Working knowledge of WFN AP & PT - Preferred

  • Post-secondary education preferred, or equivalent experience in customer service and payroll administration.
  • National Payroll Institute (NPI) PCP Certification preferred.
