ADP is hiring a Leadership Coach. In this position you will be working Leaders to develop key skills including identifying behaviors impacting associate performance, utilizing data to guide purposeful observations and improving feedback, coaching & accountability conversations. Responsible for working with Leaders to help them customize coaching plans specific to their associates' needs. Will partner with the Leader to help them analyze relevant metrics, identify team and individual trends in performance gaps. The Leadership Coach will be aligned with Senior Leadership and will suggest 1:1 or group coaching initiatives that support region goals.

The Leadership Coach also engages in 1:1 coaching to develop leadership talent within the region. The Leadership Coach may also focus on further developing experienced managers and/or executives to drive strong performance management from the top down.

The Leadership Coach will develop and maintain minimum skill requirements for coaching competencies as determined and documented by the International Coach Federation (ICF).

The Leadership Coach will work closely with the Client Experience, Strategy and Learning and Performance groups, to identify and communicate trends identified in the business to facilitate positive change across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support behavior-based feedback, coaching & accountability

  • Supports Leaders as they analyze associate performance metrics and identify performance gaps and trends.
  • Helps Leaders prioritize time spent with their associates
  • Coach Leaders to conduct observations to identify specific behaviors enabling or inhibiting individual performance.
  • Support Leaders as they establish coaching plans tailored to individual associates, including frequency of coaching events, types of events, and the frequency and duration for each type of event.
  • Provide Leaders with coaching support to effectively provide feedback and coaching based on behaviors vs. metrics in order to achieve sustained performance.
  • Assist Leaders with developing a strategy for associate observations, including documentation and accountability
  • Facilitate SBS new Leader training developed by the Leadership Coach team

Leadership and Coaching Skills Support

  • Coach leaders to assess team performance strengths and opportunities and to develop overall strategies for enhancing team performance
  • Coach leaders to identify specific organizational, process and system drivers enabling or inhibiting individual or team performance
  • Coach leaders to assess their basic leadership and coaching skill strengths and opportunities, to identify their development objectives and to establish action plans for closing gaps and/or for building upon strengths.
  • Work with Leaders to develop skills in identifying behaviors, establishing trust, and conducting effective feedback, coaching and accountability conversations.
  • Partner with assigned Leaders and their stakeholders to establish a coaching agreement, including specific individual coaching objectives
  • Execute against the coaching agreement for all coaching assignments
  • Document agreed upon next steps established during coaching sessions
  • Support the design of additional training and coaching workshops as needed
  • Recommend best practices, strategies and/or prescriptions for addressing key performance drivers
  • Participate in regularly scheduled coaching skills practice sessions to further build and maintain coaching skills as determined by the ICF

Quality and Business Process Innovation

  • Routinely maintain applicable product and/or business knowledge, skills and system knowledge needed to effectively and efficiently coach performance
  • As needed as part of Leader support, observe associate interactions to help leaders identify the most important behaviors for associates to focus on.
  • Some travel required; approximately 10- 15% annually.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in education and experience with a Major Area of Concentration in Business Administration, HR, or Organizational Development
  • 3-5 years' experience as Professional Coach or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of Leadership experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • ICF accredited training completed or in progress
  • Ability to engage and communicate with Sr. Leaders within our Small Business Services organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong business acumen
