LEAD DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE (LDR)

The Lead Development Representative is responsible for making the first impression of ADP to our prospects that are actively in a research or buying cycle for a new solution. The LDR will work toward making that first impression truly amazing.
The LDR will act as a trusted advisor who will help to understand why the prospective buyer is interested in speaking with ADP and has gone out to market. They will support the client by understanding their primary business objectives, critical business issues and requirements for their project and new solution.
The Lead Development Representative will:
- Qualify inbound leads from marketing and external/internal referrals.
- Qualify inbound leads to ensure they are passed to the correct sales representative.
- Maintain a quick speed to lead to help support the prospective buyer quickly and connect them with a sales representative
- Set up the first meeting with the prospective buyer and sales representative via video conference or in person meeting
- Understand prospective buyers requirements and hand this over to sales representative to ensure the first meeting is as focussed and productive as possible
- Follow set LDR inbound processes in a timely manner
- Regularly communicate with marketing to provide feedback and support on lead management and how this can be improved.
- Understand ADP solutions and qualifying criteria.
- Have a professional and personable telephone manner and business acumen.
- Utilise specialist research tools in order to identify Critical Business Issues within targeted accounts as well as keep track of issues and trends within the wider market.
- Work closely and collaboratively with members of field sales in terms of both profiling and follow up.
- Regular use of Salesforce.com. In all instances accurately update and maintain Salesforce.com to reflect all activity.
- Take part in regular 'one to ones' with Regional Sales Development Manager to give/receive feedback, monitor performance / identify training needs.
- Take part in Company training sessions and 'team days'
- Ultimately take ownership and responsibility of individual tasks and targets to ensure the overall success of the team.
