In this role, you will take ownership of data science initiatives, utilizing diverse methodologies to analyze data from multiple sources, and deliver strategic recommendations to our business partners. Your impact will grow as you bring these solutions to life across multiple businesses. Additionally, you will support a range of analytics projects leveraging your skills in NLP, GenAI, statistical modeling, ML, Python, SQL, and Tableau.

No two days are the same. You'll collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders to identify, design, develop and implement embedded analytics solutions. You'll lead the design and implementation of data-driven solutions to address business problems. Develop and deploy machine learning models to improve business processes and outcomes. Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and machine learning.

To thrive in this role, you will work closely with our team of data scientists, analysts, and architects , as well as business partners across the organization, to identify and address their business challenges. As we operate in a project-based environment, you should be adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

On a typical day in the life of a Lead Data Scientist at ADP:

  • Data Management and Integration: Extract, clean, and normalize data from multiple sources (Excel, SQL, Oracle, Databricks) to generate actionable insights for analytical studies.
  • Advanced Analytics and Modeling: Apply various analytical methods, including statistical and machine learning models (Python, R), to identify key drivers of client experience and deliver actionable recommendations to enhance business outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Trusted Advisory: Build strong partnerships with business and technology stakeholders, establishing credibility as a trusted advisor to elevate modeling standards and ensure successful implementation of recommendations.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • MS or above in Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Data Science, ML/AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field with at least 3-5 years of experience in data science.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R,or similar languages.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQLand other tools (Databricks, AWS).
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch).
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and data modeling techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Proven experience in crafting, testing and deploying ML /GenAIprojects in Python with keen focus on eliciting optimal outputs.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate into data science requirements, techniques, and solutions.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of natural language processing concepts a plus.
