As an Information Architect at ADP, you'll design and implement the structure of our Enterprise Knowledge Management system, ensuring content is accessible, reusable, and aligned with best practices. You'll develop content standards, streamline workflows, and collaborate with business and technical teams to drive improvements. Your work will enhance content findability, foster consistency, and support our KM community with training and guidance.

What you'll do: Responsibilities

What you can expect on a typical day:

  • Designs and implements the information architecture for EKM, including content management systems, Digital Asset Management systems, etc.
  • Develop roadmaps and project plans to continually improve knowledge content findability.
  • Develop and maintain the EKM content model, including the identification of DITA elements and their proper usage.
  • Document content creation standards and conversion models for migrating legacy content to the EKM content model.
  • Identify and define tool/platform requirements to support content development, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
  • Define and implement the ADP reuse strategy/framework, including guiding principles with all required governance elements as well as conditional processing values (e.g., Ditavals, keys and reusable objects).
  • Identify, author, and maintain common reusable objects. This may include approved text, disclaimers, copyright, product names, folksonomy, glossary terms, note usage, etc.
  • Creates user flows, wireframes, site maps, mockups, and storyboards.
  • Identify and implement improvements based on user data, leadership, end-user, and team feedback and research.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with ADP Knowledge Management leadership in the business, technical teams, and others critical to the success of this role.
  • Maintain regular governance meetings with leadership and the business unit KM teams to review all architectural, taxonomy/metadata requests and refine standards for EKM.
  • Train, coach, and guide knowledge authors in the EKM content model, authoring tools and reuse methodologies, ensuring skills transfer and application.
  • Stay current with industry trends and introduce these best practices to leadership and the KM community.

  • TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements

    • 8+ years of experience in information architecture
    • In-depth DITA knowledge and experience.
    • Working understanding of DITA/XML and relevant tools (IXIASoft, Oxygen XML editor).
    • Knowledge of ADP Business tools: CCMS, IXIASoft, SharePoint, Confluence and Salesforce.
    • Ability to analyze content structure for semantic value.
    • Comprehension of business drivers and their impact on content creation, reuse, and delivery.
    • Demonstrates advanced research and analytical skills.
    • Builds relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levels.
    • Ability to communicate with leadership in written, presentation, or ad-hoc verbal formats.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proven ability to facilitate discussions and activities necessary to define and capture complex processes/procedures.
    • Technical proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Superior verbal and written communication & presentation skills.
    • Training skills necessary to educate others effectively.

    A master's degree in Technical Writing/Communication, Information Systems, Information Architecture, Computer Science, data governance, data management, or a similar major is preferred

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $88,800.00 - $237,960.00 / Year
