  • Reconciliation of liabilities (records) to assets (Mutual Fund Positions): Performs daily share balance reconciliation between the records of the record keeping system to those of the trust. Researches and resolves all discrepancies arising from variances between the two holdings.
  • Investment Trading: Places, confirms, and instructs for settlement of the investment trades per the direction of the participants, beneficiaries, and plan sponsors. Researchers trade discrepancies or unconfirmed trades. Report on daily trade activity to both internal and external parties. Work with various investment firms to initiate account opening and trading relationships.
  • Investment Pricing and Performance: Obtain pricing and performance information from investment firms and other contracted parties. Validate the accuracy of this data through various checks and balances. Apply this information to the record keeping and ancillary systems. Perform these functions by specified deadlines.
  • Cash Reconciliation and Money Movements: Perform daily cash reconciliations for the established demand deposit accounts (dda's). Instruct the trustees and custodians on money movements associated with these dda's. Research and resolve all discrepancies arising from variances in the reconciliation.
  • Dividend Analysis and Postings: Acquire and post all dividend transactions to the record keeping system by the established time frames. Research and resolve all global dividend discrepancies.
  • Check writing: Performs all activities necessary to complete the daily production of retirement plan checks. Ensure payments have been processed into the check writing system, reconcile the output to various reports, release the checks to print, instruct on wire payment, and quality check the output. Troubleshoot daily system issues and any reconciliation items.
  • Tax Reporting- Perform Federal and State withholding, depositing, and reporting responsibilities: Perform reconciliations between the record keeping system and the tax reporting system. Identify discrepancies and resolve them through multiple processes. Perform functions timely to reduce and eliminate fines, interest, and penalties. Identify new tax legislation and the impact on our applications. Communicate to impacted parties including producing/documenting enhancements to our applications. Be the resource for all in RS for knowing, interpreting, and communicating tax legislation.
  • Analysis/Problem-Solving: Possesses and applies knowledge of the completion of moderately difficult to complex assignments.
  • Accounting Systems and Other Financial Control Applications: Possesses broad knowledge of many accounting systems, and may recommend changes to currently used systems to expedite problems. Develop, test, document, and implement these enhancements.
  • Special Studies/Projects: Conducts studies that lead to the development and/or recommendation of accounting methods and procedures. Handles various accounting projects on an as-needed basis; (for example tax returns and forecasting for budgetary purposes).

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent in training and experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of general finance/financial control experience
