EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Service Specialist II
You are:
A member of the Connection Services team within Client Operations. You are responsible for monitoring the exchange of demographic and enrollment data between the WorkforceNow module our customers' third-party vendors (e.g., payroll processors, insurance carriers, third party administrators, etc.).
You will:
Support the Comprehensive Services team and clients by maintaining and troubleshooting any EDI/Carrier Connection error that present themselves for clients and cases aligned to you. You will also work with internal partners, carriers, brokers, and the client to support Open Enrollment throughout the year, especially at year-end by updating and scheduling OE files to ensure enrollments are submitted to the client's benefit carriers timely.

You will need:
Carrier Connections/EDI Competency:
- Monitor the status of connections that have been moved to a production status for the book of business assigned to you (if applicable).
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting of WorkforceNow EDI/Carrier Connections.
- When presented with a case to troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve issues/defects with existing code.
- Communicate status and next steps to all partners (internal, carrier, client, broker, etc.) throughout the lifecycle of a case through constant updates to the active case.
- Partner with Account Managers, Engineers, and client to determine best practices for the setup of the EDI.
- Service as a technical resource for Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives who may have questions regarding active connections/EDI.
- Participate in conference calls with clients, carriers, brokers, sales, and/or prospects with connection questions.
- Maintain primary contact information for each third-party vendor with whom we have a connection.
- Work with these contacts to track new release dates for their systems, obtain updated file specifications, and identify the impact of any changes on existing connections.
- Make modifications to existing connection code as requested by client.
- Test connections to ensure accuracy of transmission of data.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of and take responsibility for continuous learning of new technologies and templates being introduced in the EDI/Connections environment.
- Support monthly Open Enrollment renewals by updating files in Production and schedule "OE" files, which will especially be priority at year-end when ~70% of your book of business will be renewing their benefits.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Excel skills such as creating pivot tables, v-lookups to compare files and data to identify discrepancies between two files.
- Knowledge of Salesforce is helpful for case and project management.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Experience working in a software and/or service company environment.
A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences could include:
- Experience noted above OR
- Military experience where skills including teamwork, adaptability, organization, and follow-through will help you build team and client relationships, identify solutions, and achieve success.
Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
- SQL
- 1-2 years of benefits experience.
- EDI experience
