Overview

The Data Analyst ESI primary purpose is to work collaboratively within the Centre of Excellence to help drive strategic business planning and commercial growth initiatives through the design and delivery of data analytics to increase business intelligence and therefore insight.

This position will be a key contributor in the Sales Efficiency Centre of Excellence (CoE) extracting and processing multiple data sources, cleansing, applying business rules, reporting and loading processed data into tables for visualisation, forming deep analysis that is to be used to create data models.

Key Objectives

• Provide actionable data insights for the Commercial Operations team, pulling data from various sources including Salesforce.com, and various third-party sources.

• Set up and maintain automated data processes.

• Identify, evaluate and implement tools and processes to support data validation and cleansing to ensure reporting is accurate.

• Produce and track key performance indicators.

• Develop and support reporting processes.

• Monitor and audit data quality.

• Liaise with internal customers to fully understand data content.

• Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.

• Design and carry out surveys and analyse survey data.

• Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets and turn them into usable outputs to inform decision-making.

• Prepare reports for internal audiences using business analytics reporting tools.

• Create data dashboards, graphs and visualisation.

• Assist with sector and competitor benchmarking and support in competitive intelligence gathering.

• Mining and analysis of large datasets to draw valid inferences and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Excellence in presenting data visually and using BI tools like Tableau/Power BI to do so. (Tableau preferred)
  • Strong ability to extract, manipulate, transform and analyse large volumes of data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail - you value accuracy.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques.
  • Capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows.
  • Ability to carry out data quality control, validation and linkage.
  • Understanding of data protection issues, including GDPR.
  • Awareness and knowledge of industry-specific databases and data sets.
  • Experience of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques.
  • R or Python programming skills desired but not required.
  • Superb organisation skills with excellent time management.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Fluent English language, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 01 year of experience in Sales/Marketing Operations, Data Entry, or Quality Control environment.
  • Prior Knowledge of SFDC and /or other CRM platforms
  • Prior knowledge of Tableau required
  • Education in Data Science or Data Analytics related subject preferred.
  • Competency and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) to produce high quality reports, presentations and other documents.
