This new role complements our autonomous, dedicated team, which drives and shapes the next products in Pass' portfolio. You can influence the products, tech stack, and team.

What You'll Do

Our software engineers have the flexibility to work with various technologies and different products or components. Your primary focus will be developing backend components integrated into well-known applications, reaching millions of users every month.

  • Develop core software components for battle-tested products or greenfield projects
  • Try out new things and run PoCs that improve our products.
  • Transform requirements into architectural and feature specs.
  • Develop high-performance, reliable, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Identify internal/external technologies and when / how to use them.
  • Grow with the support of your team, and help others on the team grow by providing thoughtful feedback and uplifting those around you.
  • Work well both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrate features and propose and review technical solutions.

What you need to succeed

  • Computer Science degree and / or 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Java technologies and frameworks
  • Proven understanding of OOP, Functional Programming, software lifecycle, and source control tools
  • Experience with cloud services platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Knowledge of using build tools and methodologies (Gradle, Maven, Jenkins)
  • Knowledge in both building but also operating a service: CI/CD deployments, monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus), Kubernetes-based deployments, infrastructure as code and provisioning tools
  • Strong understanding of developing and running Software as a Service type of products
  • A sharp eye for security-related issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Ability to research and become proficient in new technologies
  • Passionate about computer science, developing software & internet applications
  • Good English language knowledge, both written and spoken
