Adobe is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Research Scientist to join our Media and Data Science Research (MDSR) Laboratory in the Digital Experience (DX) business unit. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to engage in world-class research that will craft the future of digital experiences. As a part of our ambitious team, you will work on innovative research problems and implement solutions to revolutionize how businesses operate. As part of the research team, you will get an opportunity to turn your research ideas into successful products and at the same time, disseminate them at top conferences and journals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead research initiatives in areas such as Natural Language Processing, Computational Social Science, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning.


  • Collaborate with product teams to turn research advances into impactful products.


  • Design challenging evaluations related to creative intelligence and marketing performance.


  • Develop scalable synthetic data generation and evaluation techniques.


  • Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from diverse sources.


  • Train models and run experiments to study data and model quality.


  • Iteratively refine research experiments and clearly communicate insights to the team.


  • Integrate core machine learning models into the Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Experience Platform.


  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to rapidly prototype and transition conceptual prototypes from research to production.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas: Large Language Models, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Computational Social Science, Behavioral Sciences, Agentic Workflows, Social Network Analysis, Causal Inference, Recommendation Systems, Multimodal Content Understanding.


  • Multiple publications in top-tier conferences such as ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML, PNAS, Nature, Science, ACL, EMNLP, CHI, WWW, KDD, ICCV, ECCV, CVPR, etc.


  • Hands-on experience and a track record of deploying solutions in production environments.


  • Experience in deriving concrete conclusions and actionable insights from large datasets.


  • Ability to take research risks and solve hard problems independently.


  • BTech (for research associates) or PhD degree or equivalent experience (for research scientists) in industrial research in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or other relevant technical fields.


  • For senior positions, a minimum of seven years of post-PhD experience is required.

  • Possess a flexible analytic approach that allows for results at varying levels of precision.


  • Have familiarity with relational databases and SQL.


  • Bonus: Experience with large-scale data systems such as Beam or Spark.
