The Opportunity
The Adobe Government Relations Intern will work on several projects in the Washington, DC area related to the federal government, including Congress, as well as state and select international governments. The successful candidate will have demonstrated interest in government work and public policy at either the federal, state or local level. After working as Adobe's Government Relations Team, the individual will have extensive knowledge of how Congress, the legislative process, the inner workings of government policy and administrative actions, and many contacts to help get them started on developing a career that includes government service and involvement.

Washington, DC is a wonderful place to be an intern. The intern ranks are enormous. Networking and learning opportunities are everywhere. Adobe's Government Relations Interns are provided with a view of federal, state and international governments that few intern opportunities offer.
All 2024 Adobe interns will be 'co-located hybrid. This means that interns will be assigned to an Adobe office location, but in-office schedules will be flexible and determined by team. All interns must live in the same state, country, and within commuting distance of their assigned Adobe office so they can be on-site as needed.
What You'll Do
- Create compelling content around Adobe's policy and advocacy efforts using Adobe's tools.
- Set up and participate in advocacy preparation and policy development meetings.
- Coordinate advocacy meetings with government officials.
- Research new areas of policy interest in tech, including fintech, IOT, Artificial Intelligence, open standards, and encryption.
- Expand internal systems and tools used by the public policy group to coordinate global advocacy and messaging.
- Develop public policy development protocols for internal use and training.
- Work as part of a larger team to expand Adobe's presence in higher education curriculum and job placement.
What You Need to Succeed
- Currently enrolled full time and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Law, Public Relations, Communications, Political Science or related field required
- 0-1 years of experience in specific skill/field(s)
- Ability to participate in a full time internship between May-September
- Special consideration will be give to candidates that have resided in, or currently reside in, a state where Adobe has a major presence, such as California, Utah, Washington, New York, Massachusetts, or Virginia.
- Desire to learn about the U.S. Federal government and a genuine passion for global public policy and politics.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and not be afraid to network and get to know new people.
- Computer skills including word processing, researching, database creation, slide preparation, etc.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $25.00 -- $30.00 hourly. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay rate for your job location during the hiring process.
