Job Duties:
- Ensures accounts payable are paid in timely manner
- Performs all periodic bank reconciliations;
- Maintains the chart of accounts
- Issues timely and complete financial statements
- Assists in the preparation of the holding company annual report
- Assists in the management of holding company and investor transactions
- Assists in the Asset Liability Management Process
- Provides financial analyses as needed
- Assists in gathering of information to external auditors for the annual audit
- Complies with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Required Skills and Experience:
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
- 0-2 years of office/accounting experience
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills & a team player
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and stay organized
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
