Our Engineering team

The Engineering team is vital to the success of our current and emerging software developments. As part of this team, you will be able to deliver enhancements and customizations on new and existing products to make an impact on the business and our customers. As we continue to expand our product suite, we look for innovative team members to persevere in the ever-changing technology environment.

The Software Engineer II is responsible for coding, testing, and implementing solutions for Accruent’s healthcare applications. As a Software Engineer II, you will be critical in developing robust and scalable web applications using React.js and related technologies. Your primary focus will be designing and implementing user interfaces, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring our applications' high performance and responsiveness.

How you'll make a difference:

  • Develop user-friendly web applications using React.js and related frameworks, libraries, and tools.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement innovative solutions.
  • Design and implement reusable and efficient components and front-end architectures.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to React.js and web development.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to perform code reviews and ensure high code quality and software reliability.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, task estimation, and regular team meetings.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative work environment.

What you bring to the table:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Have experience as a professional software development.
  • Solid understanding and experience with Test Driven Development
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on modern design patterns
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
  • Experience with .NET Framework 3.5 and the latest MS Visual Studio tools.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Redux, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
  • Experience with RDBMS products like Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication in English and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Scrum) is preferred.
