This person will need to work hybrid from our Plymouth Meeting, PA office three days per week.
Accolade's internship program runs June 9th-August 15th, 2025.
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Intern to assist in the preparation and research for the 2025 NCQA Annual Reports. In this role, you will participate in and observe Quality Committees while completing assigned departmental tasks related to Accreditation, Customer Audits, and Clinical Audits. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain insights into quality assurance processes within the healthcare industry.
A Day in the Life:
- Regular Check-Ins: Meet with your manager at least twice a week to identify assignments and discuss progress.
- Learning Opportunities: Attend and observe quality and clinical meetings to gain knowledge and experience in quality assurance practices.
- Documentation Support: Assist with policy documentation and the organization of NCQA files to facilitate smooth submission processes.
- Survey Analysis: Support the distribution and analysis of the Care Management satisfaction survey to gather insights on service quality.
- Project Management Support: Provide ad hoc project management support to the department as needed.
- Networking and Shadowing: Engage in networking opportunities and shadow experienced professionals to learn about various aspects of Care Delivery.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Currently pursuing or has bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related field
- In-Office Requirement: Ability to work in our Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania office at least three times a week.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Research and Data Analysis: Experience in research and data analysis, with a focus on deriving insights from information.
- Healthcare Knowledge: A background in Healthcare Administration or Informatics is a plus.
- Quality Assurance Knowledge: A background in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) or Process Improvement is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized, mature, and able to navigate a business environment effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team setting.
