The Management Consulting Consultant designs and implements business changes that drive industry-specific, function and digital operating model transformation, focusing on task relating to people and process.
The candidate will be a Consultant within the Banking Payments Consulting practice with a focus on Business and Technology Transformation within the payments arena.
Accenture is growing our practice to help banks, payments providers, and other businesses navigate their transformational payments journeys. The Payments Management Consultant will be focused ion supporting the development of our payment offerings and the delivery of transformational consulting projects.
Responsibilities may include:
- Developing Business Cases, Project Road Maps and Operating Models and implementing complex payments solutions and systems.
- Synthesizing analyses of the project team into clear, sound recommendations for the client teams to implement.
- Reviewing payments process followed by the clients.
- Suggesting improvements for technology, platforms and processes across card and core payments as well digital and mobile payments to ensure compliance, reduce risk and costs and improve productivity. These efforts will include AI, intelligent automation and Payments-as-a-service.
- Delivering business change by designing and delivering strategy across the payments value chain and lifecycle (core payments, cards, digital innovation, Digital & Emerging Payments).
- Identify ways that Payments As A Service can both increase operational flexibility, reduce costs, and roadmap for implementation.
- Renewing card issuing processing platforms to support cost efficiency and growth in volumes.
- Delivering product development across all product families (Card, core ACH, Faster Payments) from market demand, technical feasibility business plan and model to delivering go to market.
- Enabling real time payments and developing real time payments architecture.
- Developing the Banking Payments practice and building Accenture's Payment offerings, assets and capabilities.
- Understanding of end to end payments lifecycle
- Business Architecture - Applied in solution planning, and requirements definition and analysis
- Baseline understanding of the principles of technology

- Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Qualifications
Here's What You Need:
- 3+ years relevant project experience in a management or technology consulting professional services firm, and/or 4+ years of equivalent in the banking/payments industry
- Experience working on payments project delivery in any of the following payment domains:
- Card: Private label, Credit, Online Debit, Offline Debit, Prepaid, ATM, Merchant Acquiring/Issue Processing, Loyalty, Networks (e.g., Visa/MasterCard)
- Retail: P2P, Bill Payment, Mobile Payments, Electronic Bill Presentment, Micro Payments
- Wholesale: ACH, Domestic Wire, Cross-Border, Fedwire/CHIPS, SWIFT, ISO20022
- Requirement analysis/functional design skills
- A Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with commercial payment vendor platforms : i.e. Finastra, FIS, Fiserv, ACI, TSYS, Oracle, IBM
- Payments industry experience in alternative/emerging payments (contactless payments, blockchain, cryptocurrency)
- Experience leading a payments project or project workstream, leading resources
- Must be willing to travel up to 80% (Monday - Thursday)
