We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Enablement to join our AI Platform Acceleration team. The AI Platform Acceleration team will enable AI democratization through apps & services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of data scientists, research scientists, software engineers, and product leads to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for AI integration, develop tooling to enable Software Engineers & Data Scientists using AI, and ensure our platforms enable development of scalable and robust AI systems. This team will also engage with third party vendors to enable speed, scale, and efficiency.

This role is looking for someone with general full-stack experience. The scope of this role will focus mainly on feature-level projects. The day to day for this role could vary from backend development, light frontend work, building Python libraries or CLIs, troubleshooting infrastructure using Terraform, deploying new code or performance optimizations with AKS & Helm, and other related feature-size projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Feature-level development of backend services
  • Light frontend development when needed
  • Interact daily with Azure and Azure services 
  • Feature-level development of infrastructure using Terraform  
  • Feature-level development of ci/cd pipelines using Github Actions  
  • Troubleshooting of issues related to API deployments in AKS 
  • Ensure accurate observability of solutions deployed in AKS using Datadog or other related observability tools 
  • Help with SLAs and incident management procedures 
  • Document work and solutions appropriately  
  • Engage with other technology, infrastructure, and product teams as necessary to complete tasks 
  • Participate routinely in team on-call rotation and customer support during business hours 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE 

  • 4-year degree in a technology related discipline (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, etc.) or equivalent work experience 
  • 1-3 years of experience with public cloud technologies (Azure or GCP preferred) including demonstrated networking and security focus 
  •  “GCP Associate Cloud Engineer” and/or “Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate” certifications preferred 
  • 1-3 years of experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) 
  • 1-3 years of experience with cloud automation tools (Terraform) 
  • 1-3 years of experience with SDLC and working with Agile development teams
  • 1+ years of Frontend experience a bonus but not required (our stack is Angular or Svelte)
  • Experience with AI-related concepts a plus (RAG, fine-tuning, agent framework, LLMs, etc.) 
  • Ability to manage small size IT-related projects, solving related problems and working to tight deadlines while under pressure 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience leveraging these skills with technical teams and non-technical business units 
  • Desire to learn new technology and grow across different areas of technology 

 

IMPORTANT INFO

This is a Hybrid position. Candidates must be able to come into the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week. We have locations in Cincinnati, OH, Chicago, IL, Deerfield, IL, New York, NY, and Portland, OR. There are no remote options for this position. 

We are NOT working with Staffing Firms, Consulting Companies, or any other 3rd parties on this position. 

Full-time only. No contracts. No C2C.
