Summary
The Dispatcher will assist the Plant Manager in managing the activities of the Truck Drivers. They will also schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrange for necessary repairs in order to restore service and schedules.
- Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from drivers, supervisors, using telephones or two-way radios.
- Confer with customers or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service.
- Prepare daily work and run schedules.
- Receive or prepare work orders.
- Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories.
- Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules.
- Record and maintain driver files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
- Primary phone coverage (first to answer all incoming calls)
- Prepare and mail all US/UPS/Fed Ex packages.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Oversee all aspects shipping/receiving functions including inventory and the maintenance of inventory.
- Oversee all administrative aspects of the general files area.
- Assist with bookkeeping/accounting functions as appropriate.

- Must have the ability to communicate accurately and clearly both orally and in writing; pleasant telephone manner; able to think on their feet when dealing with callers; customer service oriented, "can do" approach to work.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
- Must have superior organizational skills and be extremely detail oriented.
- Excellent problem solving and people skills is also required.

- Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
- Repetitively lift up to 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
- The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision.
