Hourly Pay:
$15.00/hr. - $25.00/hr. (production-based position)
Shift(s):
Mon-Fri 7:00am - 3:30pm

As a Pallet Repair Reman, you'll get to build wooden pallets from recycled materials, deconstructed pallets and/or lumber. You may also repair pallets by taking damaged pallets sent from our customers and return them to service-ready condition, before consolidating and shipping them back to the customer. As sustainability is one of our organization's top goals, this role is vital to our success!

What You'll Do
- Utilize appropriate tools and methods to return damaged pallets to service-ready condition
- Communicate effectively with Production Supervisors, Assistant Plant Manager, and Plant Manager
- Examine products after repairing to verify conformance to quality standards
- Must maintain a clean & safe working environment that meets 48forty's standards
- Build the given number of pallets, once training is complete
- Repair the given number of pallets, once training is complete
- Expected to be able to work without constant supervision to achieve production quotas in the repair area, safely
- Stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions
- Check loads to make sure they are secure
- High school degree or GED required
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship preferred
- Requires quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
- Observance of all safety rules and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardized requirements exist
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Demonstrated experience safely operating air-driven, electric, pneumatic, and manual woodworking tools
- Previous experience in welding, lumbering, construction, carpentry, or roofing is strongly preferred
