Summary

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining machines that extrude plastic pellets via an underwater pelletizing system. The Machine Operator is responsible to inspect the quality of all pallets and assign a grade, while removing all trash and debris. The Maintenance Mechanic will have a wide skill set that encompasses multiple trades, combining the roles of an electrician, carpenter, plumber, and inventory manager. They will possess versatile interests and can quickly learn how to troubleshoot new and existing equipment. Quick response to urgent maintenance needs of any kind is essential. Inspection of wiring, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment is necessary to ensure plant operations run smoothly. maintenance / machine operator

Experience and Requirements:
  • Basic plumbing knowledge, basic electrical wiring capabilities, and basic carpentry
  • Preferable would be a certified Low Voltage Electrical individual. They need to able to wire and troubleshoot sensors, Photo Eyes, and contactors, along with knowledge of 110vac and 24 vdc control voltage
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with all employees, contractors, and general public
  • Attention to detail to ensure all jobs and tasks are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
  • PHYSICAL Stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on systems

  • Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
  • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision.
  • Must have a good sense of balance & good eye-hand-foot coordination
