Tara Haelle
Tara Haelle is a freelance science journalist, author, and speaker who wrote the Kirkus-starred Vaccination Investigation: The History and Science of Vaccines and nearly a dozen children’s science books. She coauthored The Informed Parent: A Science-Based Guide to the First Four Years and writes for National Geographic, The New York Times, Scientific American, O Magazine, Wired, Texas Monthly, and other publications. Tara frequently speaks about medical research, vaccines, children’s health, and mental health, including a TEDx talk on “Why Parents Fear Vaccines.” Tara lives in Texas with her husband and two sons, four dogs, and a dozen pet rats, give or take.
