While staring out the window and daydreaming may seem like a huge waste of time, it can be really beneficial. This video from The School of Life explains why.

These days, there’s a huge (absolutely ginormous) focus on being as productive as possible.

But while achieving optimal levels of productivity is ideal, this goal sometimes results in the mindset that we have to be “go, go, go” 24/7. And in an attempt to get as much done as fast as we can, we forget to take a step back and, well, breathe.

Not only can taking a break give your mind some much needed time to rest, but it can also allow you to do something that’s (surprisingly) just as important as crossing things off your to-do list—staring out the window.

I know. Sounds like a huge waste of time, right? But the video below will explain why this can be such a great investment of your time.
