In 2016, filmmaker Elyse Fox made a short film documenting her life with depression—and was immediately flooded with responses from young women around the world who were struggling with their own mental health challenges. So she decided to use her personal experience to help others. The result? Sad Girls Club, an organization that has built a community supporting millennial and Gen Z women dealing with mental illness.
