How This Manager Is Advancing Her Career While Supporting Others Along the Way

Joy first discovered Enterprise Mobility when she was attending Middle Tennessee State University. Enterprise Mobility was hosting marketing competitions at her college. Joy—who always seizes opportunities to grow—used this chance to gain new skills while also getting an inside look at the company.

Through this experience, “I realized that the organization had a great training program, and that was something I definitely wanted to see in my future career,” Joy says. With this new realization, she decided to join the organization. As Joy explains, “I chose to work for Enterprise Mobility because I wanted a career that allowed for long-term advancement.”

Today, Joy has seen advancement firsthand as she’s risen to the position of branch manager. In this role, she coaches a team of five people and helps them work together toward their common goals.

Here, Joy shares how her role makes a larger impact, what excites her most about her future at the organization, and how Enterprise Mobility supports not only their people—but their communities, too!

How would you describe what Enterprise Mobility does?

Enterprise Mobility is an organization that provides transportation and mobility solutions to advance the world, one journey at a time.

What has been your biggest accomplishment during your time at Enterprise Mobility?

My biggest accomplishment at Enterprise Mobility has been gaining the trust of my leaders and mentors, which in turn has allowed me to advance to the branch manager role.

What is your favorite thing about Enterprise Mobility?

The people and the culture are two of my favorite things about working here at Enterprise Mobility. We’re a very diverse company, which is apparent in our workforce.

What surprised you most about working here?

What surprised me the most about working for Enterprise Mobility was the amount of internal career opportunities that are available for employees.

What type of individuals are the most successful at Enterprise Mobility?

The type of individual who will be the most successful when working for Enterprise Mobility is someone willing to grow, learn from their mistakes, and put in the hard work to achieve their goals.

What would you tell someone who is looking to join your team?

I would tell someone looking to join my team that you’ll be provided with a structured management training program and the tools necessary to take your career to where you want it to be.

What excites you about your future at Enterprise Mobility?

What excites me the most about working at Enterprise Mobility is that I know I always have opportunities to advance, and I know that I’ll always be provided with the necessary tools to achieve my career goals.

Can you share what type of early career opportunities there are at Enterprise Mobility?

If you’re still in school, you may want to join our internship program, and if you’ve recently graduated, you can start in our management trainee program.

Finally, how does Enterprise Mobility support their communities?

We put an emphasis on strengthening our communities one neighborhood at a time. One way that Enterprise Mobility provides this support is by allowing employees to nominate a local charity of choice to be supported by the Enterprise Mobility Foundation.
