12 Companies We Have a Serious Crush On

Here at The Muse, we all love our jobs. But that doesn't mean our eyes don't wander from time to time. Hey, with so many good-looking companies around us, who could blame us?

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we thought we'd come out with our company crushes and share the workplaces that make our hearts beat a little bit faster with you. After all, we might not be applying to new gigs anytime soon, but you certainly can!

1. Hudl

Lincoln, NE

If I weren't a professional marketer, I'd obviously be a professional athlete. Hudl is one of the coolest companies I have ever seen, and it just so happens to be creating tech that makes athletes and coaches much better at their craft. Like cool robot-athletes. I just wish it was around when I was flaming out as an athlete in high school.

Elliott Bell, Director of Marketing

2. Trunk Club

Chicago

I'm obsessed with the new crop of fashion-meets-technology companies that change the way people shop (i.e., make the whole process way, way easier). Trunk Club was one of the first, and it's still one of the best. Plus, the offices are seriously stunning (and there's a 40-foot bar in the middle of the office—can you say happy hour?).

Adrian Granzella Larssen, Editor-in-Chief

3. Fueled

New York

Because everyone needs mobile—but in distinctly innovative ways. It's where creativity and execution meet.

Meha Agrawal, Back-End Engineer

4. ZocDoc

New York

Usually setting up doctors appointments feels like a colonoscopy. ZocDoc makes it feel like Vicodin.

Yusuf Simonson, VP of Engineering

5. YPlan

London

Love going out and discovering new places? I certainly do. YPlan gives me access to the best events in town without the hassle of spending hours researching.

Ekaterina Steube, Sales Associate

6. Lincoln Center

New York

I saw my first opera at Lincoln Center when I was in college. Since then, I’ve been back over and over again to see everything from musicals to dance to orchestra concerts. It has consistently been one of my go-to spots for great entertainment.

Erin Hays, Operations Associate

7. Airbnb

San Francisco

I have a big crush on Airbnb. Not only are the offices beautiful (I can't stop staring at them), but it's an awesome product that's changed the way people can see the world. (Beauty and brains is a rare combo, you know?) If Airbnb were a human, I'd probably down a (medium- to large-sized) glass of wine when I saw it, scribble my name on a cocktail napkin, and run away awkwardly.

Brooke Torres, Social Media and Community Manager

8. TripAdvisor

Boston

I'm obsessed with TripAdvisor. Whenever I'm planning a trip, I spend hours researching all the best restaurants, hotels, and local attractions to make sure I hit all the must-sees. Dog sledding in Norway? That happened.

Katie Douthwaite, Staff Writer and Editor

9. Pocket

San Francisco

Pocket is such an amazing company that's transforming how people consume content. I love the product's clean design, and it's definitely my go-to app to survive all those long subway rides!

Sarah Chang, Editorial Intern

10. HomeAway

Austin

First of all, I'm obsessed with HomeAway's office. There's so many cool features, like the checkerboard-floored conference area and the signpost with vacation location meeting rooms! What I love even more, though, is how much the company cares for its customers, and how it's going above and beyond to make sure both owners and vacation renters are happy with the HomeAway experience. I'm all about client happiness, so I love to see this elsewhere as well!

Niki Lowry, Director of Company Relations and Partnerships

11. 'wichcraft

New York

If there's anything I love more than helping people find success and happiness in their careers, it's sandwiches. Really good ones, like the creative ones at 'wichcraft. Being able to work with a fun and spunky team to help feed people well sounds like a great job to me. Plus, I bet I'd get a discount on those stellar brioche cinnamon rolls.

Erin Greenawald, Editor

12. Uber

San Francisco

Completely necessary for urbanites. I used Uber constantly when I was in SF, which was a total life saver in so many situations. Never has hailing a car been this easy. The user experience is seamless, and most Uber drivers tell me it's been great for their business too—total win-win.
