Coda’s journey started with an observation: While the world runs on documents and spreadsheets, why haven’t they changed in over 40 years? Coda has made it its mission to rip the document down to the studs, and build a new set of building blocks that would empower people and teams to make docs as powerful as apps. Coda considers itself a “grown-up startup”—building a team and process for the long-term in Silicon Valley. The company’s cofounders, Shishir Mehrotra and Alex DeNeui, are veteran entrepreneurs who have held product and engineering leadership roles at YouTube, Google, and Microsoft, and are recruiting exceptional individuals from across the industry.
