What you'll do...
Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately. But the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community. While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve.
We are currently seeking a Senior Pharmacy Manager to join our team at our Orlando, FL facility. This position requires onsite presence and does not offer remote work options. Candidates must be available to work a rotating schedule which will periodically include working Sundays and Saturdays. Candidate must be flexible to work outside rotation/shift with advance notice as needed for training and/or business operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- 4 years of experience in pharmacy, including 2 years of experience in pharmacy management leading large teams

Key Responsibilities:
• Obtains and renews multiple state pharmacist permits, registrations, licenses, and trainings as necessary to meet applicable board of pharmacy regulations, payer requests, or internal needs for the provision of services to patients.
• Drives business and utilization growth by collaborating with market and regional management teams, developing action plans, ensuring the effectiveness of inventory, production, and distribution, and analyzing volume trends and operational needs to meet future expectations.
• Drives financial performance by ensuring facility budgeted goals are achieved, directing managers on budget-related issues, developing and monitoring plans to correct deficiencies in financial performance, and providing guidance and assistance to managers on the analysis of volume trends and operational needs.
• Provides clinical guidance to associates and leaders and oversees the clinical decision-making aspects of the program.
• Drives the overall direction of the pharmacy by analyzing business objectives, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices, and evaluating operational processes to ensure desired results.
• Optimizes cost per prescription by managing workflow capability, conducting business planning, balancing forecasted volume with scheduled payroll hours, and managing individual key performance indicators to ensure associate productivity.
• Ensures compliance with applicable state, federal, and local laws, regulations, and company policies, such as HIPAA, by maintaining awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and policies, assessing current practices and procedures, and providing training and guidance on the execution of company procedures and policies.
• Manages front and back-end operations for the Walmart Health & Wellness Non-Store Operations Pharmacy by monitoring pharmacists' licenses and certifications, assisting in pharmacy training, managing clinical services, supervising pharmacy managers, supervisors, and associates to ensure optimal workflow, and evaluating and responding to retail pharmacy service and satisfaction issues.
• Establishes relationships with retail pharmacies and providers serviced by the Walmart Health & Wellness Non-Store Operations pharmacy to promote company initiatives, increase market utilization, improve patient services, and reduce cost per prescription.
• Maintains and grows professional relationships with healthcare vendor partners by understanding the scope of the pharmacy automation and changes in healthcare, and responding to the needs of pharmacies and company initiatives. Recruiting, attracting, and hiring healthcare professionals; maintaining relationships with Health and Wellness management; and ensuring associates and managers devote time for continuing education.
• Maintains inventory levels to maximize prescription fulfillment by monitoring on-hand levels and prescription trends, and collaborating with Home Office Replenishment to forecast current and future needs of Walmart Health & Wellness Non-Store Operations pharmacy.
• Responsible for oversight of clinical decision-making aspects of the program and provides clinical guidance.
• Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders, soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness, and participating in and supporting community outreach events.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
• Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application, ensuring compliance with them, and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
• Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives, consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders, soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness, and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

The annual salary range for this position is $89,500.00-$192,500.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges)
