How you will make an impact

The Maintenance and Facilities Manager will own the overall strategy of a new sites maintenance and facilities service organization, ensuring that the entire operations team is supported in their mission to serve our customers. The Manager will provide leadership, mentorship, and support to their teams as our rapidly growing business expands in capacity. This collaborative position will help our team serve our customer with reliable equipment and stabile output. They will encounter recurring work situations of very high complexity, frequent variations from the norm, while working at a high level of autonomy.

What we will do!

  • Ensure safety of mechanical areas and work practices in partnership with site EHS standards. This includes but not limited to LOTO plans, risk assessments, drawing updates, labeling, and routine inspections.
  • Ensure all equipment and system design documentation is organized and meets cGMP regulatory standards. Provide mentorship to improve critical utilities, reduce downtime, and build robust equipment standards.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators in alignment with department and product supply goals, maintain and report applicable area or interpersonal metrics.
  • Provide direction to team to align site goals, requirements, and directives. Build meaningful goals for groups that will drive needed improvements to systems and processes
  • Proactively identify and call out key risks and issues to system owners and leadership team. Coordinate and lead ad hoc cross functional teams to run investigations and implementation of changes. Build a network of SMEs including vendors, consultants, and FTEs to reduce downtime and tackle problems.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence culture thru self-detecting and self-correcting processes and systems and instilling strong ownership and accountability.
  • Ensure high levels of communication with team, support resources and management regarding issue identification and resolution; develop formal communication protocols and tools including progress tracking systems, dashboards, and management reports, and any other product specific information as needed.
  • Drive technical leadership, program management and clients to implement product / process improvements; participates and/or may lead cross functional projects.
  • Acts as Maintenance/Facilities subject matter authority for assessments for change controls, validation protocols, and document changes.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Science or related field and 9+ years of related experience or Master's degree and proven track record. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 5 plus years directly in lead Engineering and/or leadership positions
  • Experience with DeltaV Process Control System and BMS in a cGMP environment is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate across the business.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; great attention to detail and excellent decision-making process.
  • Expertise in running small and medium technical and/or capital projects in a GMP environment.
  • Proven track record to present ideas persuasively and influence effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills both internal and external.
