Job Description

Position Summary

The Client Services Project Manager II (PMII) at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. plays a vital role in managing client project activities and ensuring the successful implementation of projects. Working as part of a small pod, the PMII collaborates with other project managers to oversee study set up, batch record creation, storage and shipments, material disposal, billing, and study close out. As a central coordination point, the PMII provides comprehensive updates to the team, coordinates activities with various departments, and ensures tasks are allocated and completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

The Client Services Project Manager II will have the following responsibilities:

  • Electronic batch record creation and management.
  • Study set up and providing support to the PMIII team when amendments are required.
  • Coordinating storage and shipment requirements.
  • Managing client requests for material disposal.
  • Ensuring accurate billing of client activities.
  • Leading the close out of client studies in collaboration with the PMIII team.
  • Preparing and submitting documentation related to client activities and requests.
  • Managing the green light to ship (GLTS) process according to project timelines.
  • Assessing client-supplied study specifications to design effective Supply Chain solutions.
  • Ensuring timely completion of activities to meet client requirements.
  • Using project planning tools like Microsoft Project and KanBanize to oversee and communicate progress and essential tasks.
  • Providing reports and other information in a timely manner.
  • Communicating order status with all collaborators.
  • Liaising with Operations to ensure study logistics are handled appropriately.
  • Assisting with stock level management for kit materials and packaging components.
  • Writing and reviewing departmental SOPs, Project Plans, and other documentation.
  • Ensuring revenue recognition for assigned projects and verifying final information for Accounting Department.
  • Handling non-conformance and providing timely resolution.
  • Providing training to other members of the team.
  • Participating in cross-functional business process improvement activities.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of successful experience in project management as an Associate/Assistant Project Manager.
  • Understanding of GXP requirements in a pharma or CRO environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable with strong customer leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and define customer-centric solutions.
  • Strong and dependable collaborator.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, written, and numerical skills.
  • Scientific degree required or other degree coupled with pharma/CRO equivalent work experience.
