As a Claims Technician in the Claims Centralized Operations Group, your primary role is to provide administrative support to the Claims Organization. (Supporting STD & LOA) Claim Techs are the behind-the-scenes support team to ensure everything runs smoothly within Claims Operations. The Hartford will provide you with ongoing training, coaching and development to ensure your success.

Training: 1:1 training
Work Hours: 8am - 4:30pm EST (some flexibility)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a liaison with other departments to resolve problems
- Utilize active listening and critical thinking skills to quickly analyze and resolve both routine and complicated work requests
- Meet and exceed hard deadlines
- Facilitate new claim triage and assignment process
- Perform business and IT project work
- Work to continuously improve process
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED is required, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Effective listening skills
- Motivation to help others
- Desire to deliver exceptional customer service
- Proven success in previous roles and ambition to further develop yourself
- Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational abilities for a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities

- Proficient in financial calculations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic knowledge in excel
- Desire to learn and navigate multiple complex technology systems simultaneously
Additional Information:
- This role is a Hybrid work arrangement. Candidates who live near the Lake Mary, FL; Sunrise, FL; and Hartford, CT offices will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
- For full-time, occasional, part-time, or remote positions: (1) high speed broadband internet service is required, we do not recommend or support DSL, wireless, Wi-Fi, Hotspots, Fiber without a modem and Satellite; (2) Internet provider supplied modem/router/gateway is hardwired to the Hartford issued computer with an ethernet cable; and (3) minimum upload/download speeds of 5Mbps/30Mbps will be required. Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
