Job Description
The Department of Fire Services (DFS) is recruiting to backfill one Messenger/Mail Services contractor position at the Stow Campus. The ideal candidate must be available to work 2-3 shifts per week. The primary focus of this position is shipping, receiving, document management, print shop duties, and courier services to Boston. The successful candidate must possess and maintain, while employed at DFS, a valid driver's license in good standing. This is a part-time, contract position with no benefits. This is a part-time contract position with no benefits.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and be responsible for, but not limited to, the following.

- Daily receiving and distribution duties servicing all DFS divisions.
- Daily shipping requirements meeting the needs of all DFS divisions.
- Daily runs to local post office as needed meeting the needs of all DFS divisions.
- Weekly courier runs as directed by Warehouse Supervisor.
- Housekeeping and organizing duties of warehouse, receiving, shipping and printing areas.
- Assisting all divisions with document management and storage.
- Printing duties for DFS divisions as directed by Warehouse Supervisor.
- Assisting with annual physical inventory as directed by Warehouse Supervisor.
- Filling ice bags and distributing to freezer locations.
- Delivery of copy paper throughout the campus
- Printing and assembling booklets as needed for requesting divisions.
- Sorting and distributing mail.
- Adding postage to mail.
- Adding postage monies to postage machine.
- Preparing and processing large mailings.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to comfortably lift 50 pounds. Moving cases of paper and other warehouse items are common daily occurrence.
- Must be able to navigate and use outlook, excel and word.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be available up to three shifts per week.
