The qualified candidate will have knowledge and experience in intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities, evaluation and treatment of problematic sexual behaviors, aggression, and other behaviors with forensic implications. The CSP will have experience in diagnosis and treatment of mental illness including psychotropic medication. The CSP will have knowledge and experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis and in adapting various treatment approaches such as current treatment practices for problematic sexual behavior, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy and experiential therapies for use with individuals with ID and DD. The CSP will function as the expert for the CW State Op Community System on Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) and will participate in leadership meetings providing review, consultation, and training as requested.

The CSP will have a primary office located in the Regional Office in Springfield, MA as well as satellite office space in Northampton, Worcester, and Baldwinville. The CSP position will require travel to provide for the clinical oversight and supervision of psychology staff within the Central West State Operated Community System. The CSP may also be required to cover psychology caseloads on a temporary basis to ensure coverage during vacancies, medical leaves, etc. The Clinical Supervisor of Psychology reports to the Director of Central West State Operated Community Services, who reviews and evaluates work performance for conformance with professional standards, and Departmental policy, procedures, and standards of conduct.

Preferred Qualifications:

Qualified applicants would also possess the following preferred qualifications:

• Qualify as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level, BCBA-D
• Have a minimum of three years of full time experience working with individuals with intellectual disability, developmental disability and/or mental illness.
• Have a minimum of three years of full time experience in evaluation and treatment of individuals with problematic sexual behavior.
• Have experience in providing treatment using DBT and CBT.
• Have knowledge and experience in the implementation of Positive Behavioral Supports.

This position will be based out of Springfield, MA, and will have satellite offices in both Northampton, Worcester, and Baldwinville.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Days Off: Sunday/Saturday

Qualifications

Minimum Entrance Requirements:

Applicants must have a Doctorate in Psychology from school accredited by the American Psychological Association.

Applicants must also have at least three years of years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience as a Licensed Psychologist in the application of psychological principles and techniques in a recognized agency providing psychological services or treatment, of which (B) at least one year must have included supervision over Post-doctoral Psychologists-in-training and/or Psychological Assistants.

Special Requirements:

Current and valid registration as a Psychologist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Psychology.

Based on assignment, must meet the eligibility requirements for Designated Forensic Psychologist in 104 CMR 33.04(3)(b).

Based on assignment, travel may be required. Those employees who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state.

Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate's years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division's Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
