Job Description
The Multimedia and Video Production Project Leader role is a part-time contractor position responsible for elevating the quality of educational offerings through multimedia content creation and management. The position will focus on transforming instructor-created presentations into interactive online media using elearning authorware, packaging/managing SCORM content within the Department of Fire Services Learning Management System (LMS), and providing photography and video recording services for various educational events as needed. Additionally, the Project Leader will collaborate directly with instructors to improve the learner experience by implementing innovative presentation methods and providing technical guidance to other media personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
• Modify instructor-created presentations and convert ILT into interactive online media.
• Package and upload SCORM content into the Department of Fire Services Learning Management System (LMS).
• Create narration using text-to-speech software for instructor presentations as needed.
• Convert existing video and audio files into appropriate formats.
• Provide photography and video recording capabilities for lectures, seminars, or training sessions.
• Collaborate with instructors and/or subject matter experts to recommend and implement better presentation methods to enhance the learner experience.
• Offer support for the Virtual Classroom environment using Adobe Connect.
• Provide technical direction and assistance to other media personnel as required.
• Perform additional tasks and projects assigned by supervisors or management.
This is a part-time contract position without benefits. To remain in the contractor position you will need to work a minimum of 200 hours over two years. The Multimedia and Video Production Project Leader will play a vital role in enhancing our educational content and contributing to the success and growth of our department's educational programs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3 years of experience in Learning Management Systems and eLearning authorware.
• Proficiency with Adobe products, Articulate 360, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with various hardware platforms for audio, video, and photo production.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5 or more years experience in LMS and SCORM
• Knowledge of data storage and transfer systems.
• Strong organizational and project leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated work record supporting the required skills.
• Knowledge of instructional design principles
Specialty Requirements (Based on Assignment):
• Ability to work onsite and remotely as needed.
• Flexibility in scheduling due to sporadic work assignments.
• Capability to work safely around the fire ground and apparatus and other dynamic environments
