This position is located in Danvers, MA
This position will coordinate and monitor regional 24/7 new program development efforts underway in the DDS regional office for individuals in a nursing facility or chronic rehabilitation hospital eligible for the Acquired Brain lnjury-Residential Habilitation (ABI-RH) and Moving Forward Plan-Residential Supports (MFP RS) Waivers. In so doing the incumbent will liaison between the Regional ABI Director and providers tracking progress on new program development efforts. The Residential Development Program Coordinator will identify barriers to residential sites opening and track provider referrals and other processes related to the successful placement of pending individuals.

The Residential Development Program Coordinator will be part of a regional ABI/MFP team dedicated to moving eligible individuals from nursing facilities into a community residence. The incumbent will work closely with ABI/MFP residential providers planning to open a home or add shared living opportunities in that region in the upcoming year. He/she will manage the sharing of group profile of individuals with potential residential providers so that appropriate placements are planned to successfully support the individuals. The incumbent will manage the sharing of specific referrals with the residential provider.
The Residential Development Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing the siting process for new homes in that region along with checking in with the providers monthly, or more frequently to ensure plans for homes opening and individuals moving in are on track. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all Transitional Assistance plans are submitted completely, correctly and on time to MassAbility, so the Transitional Assistance services can be provided.
Once individuals are placed in the community, the Program Coordinator will work with the team to track priorities such as meaningful day supports, wellness interests of the participants, and community engagement opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with the disabled, acquired brain injured or intellectually disabled population.
- Experience and skill at being a "self-starter" who is comfortable taking the initiative and trouble-shooting through creative problem solving.
- Experience working for a human service provider organization.
- Skilled in MS Word and Excel.
- Experience and skill at communicating effectively with multiple organizations and with individuals at varying levels of responsibility.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively work collaboratively and in a matrix. Ability to facilitate groups with diverse representation and function effectively as member of a team.
- Be skilled at working with families from diverse backgrounds, be culturally competent and sensitive. Knowledge of how to best use interpreters and translators.
- Have excellent skills in problem resolution and conflict management. Ability to listen attentively and respectfully to ascertain the desires and needs of individuals.

Qualifications

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.
II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.
III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate's years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division's Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
